hippo RULES

Move aside purple cow, here comes the hippo. All hail the hippo.

Way back Seth Godin came up with the term Purple Cow for something truly outstanding, something amazing, delightful, and absolutely positively "wow" - you get the idea.

Over the past years, HIPPO was coined by some folks (maybe Amazon?) where it stands for "Highest Paid Person's Opinion" as in the HIPPO will have the last and loudest say on things. To me, HIPPO is basically the one who is "Higher In Pay and POsition", aka your boss.

The HIPPO rule, therefore is the HIPPO is always right. Don't fight the HIPPO.
